Numicon is designed to help all children succeed in maths. It is created by teachers and experts, including NZ authors, based on a proven Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach that children love.
We are currently creating new online Teaching Handbooks to fully align with the updated NZ Curriculum, for Years 0-8. These will be ready in September. In the meantime, please use the following Numicon levels:
Year 0: Firm Foundations
Year 1: Numicon 1
Year 2: Numicon 2
Year 3: Numicon 3
Year 4: Numicon 4
Year 5: Numicon 5
Year 6: Numicon 5 continued
Year 7: Numicon 6
Year 8: Numicon 6 continued
