Numicon is designed to help all children succeed in maths. It is created by teachers and experts, including NZ authors, based on a proven Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach that children love.
We are currently creating new online Teaching Handbooks to fully align with the updated NZ Curriculum, for Years 0-8. In the meantime, please use the following Numicon levels:
Year 0: Firm Foundations
Year 1: Numicon 1
Year 2: Numicon 2
Year 3: Numicon 3
Year 4: Numicon 4
Year 5: Numicon 5
Year 6: Numicon 5 continued
Year 7: Numicon 6
Year 8: Numicon 6 continued

NEW! Numicon 4 Teaching Handbook for 2027 available here. This updated eBook is fully aligned to the NZ Curriculum, includes all units in the required teaching order, plus direct links to downloadable supporting resources. Updated eBooks for all other levels, from Firm Foundations to Numicon 8, will follow in the coming weeks.
